A jump raise is a raise of 2 levels (therefore also called double raise). Here's an example: It originally showed a forcing raise in the majors and strongly invitational in the minors, but later it changed to show an invitational hand (limit raise). With Bergen raises, a jump raise shows an exceptional weak hand with a 9-card fit. This usage is alertable.
