The Second Campsite Anomaly was an Anomaly linking a campsite in the present day to an unknown time period (possibly the Eocene). When a herd of Embolotherium marooned in the present threatened the campsite, Helen Cutter used her Anomaly Opening Device to open this Anomaly directly in front of the charging Embolotherium, sending them through to another time period, then used the Opening Device to close the Anomaly again.
