  • VeggieTales is a Christian kid show about talking vegetables and fruit spreading the word of God. It has plenty of songs and pop culture jokes to entertain parents as well as kids.
  • VeggieTales is a Christian series, released on December 21, 1993. It features God and talking vegetables. Its two characters are a tomato and a cucumber named Bob and Larry.
  • VeggieTales performed at the Christian Fellowship Day at International Showplace, on Saturday 9 September 2000.
  • VeggieTales started life in the 1980's as a set of plush toys (this was not meant to rip off the Super Mario Cookies). The plush toys became popular, so they made copies for children to play. Later, in 1993, some two guys named Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki saw the toys one day and decided to make a 3D animation out of a screen test called VeggieTales. After that, the show premiered to direct to video, then it became popular and also had there own merchandise.
  • VeggieTales is a Christian children's animated program featuring anthropomorphic Bible-thumpin' salad ingredients who portray Bible stories and Christian-values lessons in a "kid-friendly" manner, with each episode containing a "Silly Song" musical number as wraparounds. In addition to being based upon Bible stories, other inspirations include Monty Python, Gilligan's Island, Huckleberry Finn, and Robin Hood. Fun stuff.

In addition to being based upon Bible stories, other inspirations include Monty Python, Gilligan's Island, Huckleberry Finn, and Robin Hood. Fun stuff. Unlike certain other Christian series, VeggieTales is about the nicer bits of Christian morality (not being a dick, loving thy neighbor, being generous, respecting parents, avoiding consumerism, etc.). The show is often portrayed as being a nutritious and wholesome alternative to the satanic, violent filth that pervades mainstream children's programming.
