During the Second Shinobi World War, this weapon was instrumental the the protection of Sunagakure, due to it being the village's primary defense during an invasion attempt by enemy shinobi. This was accomplished through Seisa's Magnet Release: Magnetic Sandstorm technique, which effectively allowed him to disarm any shinobi who got too close to the pillars of Cobalt Powder.
