It's often said that Tav can make even the most ungainly bulk freighter dance like a starfighter if he's behind the controls. While the saying is an exaggeration, no one can deny that Tav is able to do amazing things when he's flying. He's been offered highly lucrative positions from crime lords and legitimate businesses alike to fly for them full time, but Tav consistently turns them down. Instead he prefers to offer his services as an independent charter pilot so that he has the freedom to go where he wants to go and do what he wants to do. He sees every new charter job as a chance for a new adventure, although he's not above smuggling if times are tough and the cargo is right.
