Togaru then was lured into a deal with Vice detectives James "Sonny" Crockett and Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs, with Christine's help, but Togaru determined they were police, and sent his goons to kill Crockett and Tubbs, resulting in a shootout, during which Christine shot and killed Togaru before he could kill Crockett and Tubbs.
