| - Mahra Sorbek was born on Coruscant to a captain in the Imperial Navy. She was raised like the son her father wished he had, and when she was age she applied to the Imperial Naval Academy. There, she graduated with honors, and was commissioned into service as a TIE Fighter pilot, one of the few females to do so. Her father showed little respect for her decisions, until after she had successfully climbed the ranks without aid. At this time, Mahra was presented with, and accepted, the rank of Captain. She continued to hold per position as the squadron's commanding officer.

Her father died during the Battle of Endor, but Lieutenant Commander Mahra Sorbek continued in Imperial service, operating under Keldon Tyfus's command, where she was given command over a crack squadron of pilots. The pilots under her command matched her own exacting standards, comprising of Ahd Dorlin, Lorcan Mashti, and Vayl Tobin. It was said that they would do anything for her. Their line of service under her wing proved this to be true, as the sub-squadron acted as one. They even rose to impress Tyfus, and earned Mahra promotion to Commander. Tyfus grew to trust Mahra and her group of pilots to undergo even the most difficult of tasks, and looked forward to being able to commission them as a full twelve-fighter squadron. The commissioning was stalled, however, during the Sith Revolution, and when Darth Invisus was slain by Darth Trayus, the chain of command shifted. Mahra participated as a loyal follower of Tyfus during this time, but soon found, as with her leader's allegiances, her own shifted to Trayus's. Tyfus put in a formal request to Trayus a few weeks later for Sabre Group to be granted an additional eight members, a request that had not been reviewed until the destruction of the City of the Jedi. The request was granted, and Mahra herself was responsible for screening the Empire's best pilots for approval into the saquadron. At this time, Mahra was presented with, and accepted, the rank of Captain. She continued to hold per position as the squadron's commanding officer.
