The Vollistan racial language is known as Volspak. It's a combination of spoken, multisyllabic, vowel heavy words and changes in the colour and motion of the aura, with the occasional touch of telepathy thrown in for clarification or emphasis if necessary. Because it depends so heavily on the use of the aura, non-Vollistans can never be truly proficient in the nuances of this language, although some have been known to become quite good.

Because it depends so heavily on the use of the aura, non-Vollistans can never be truly proficient in the nuances of this language, although some have been known to become quite good. Vollistans have also been gifted by Volir with strong psionic abilities. The mind to mind contact of telepathy and to a lesser extent empathy are used quite freely between modern Vollistan friends to flavour their language, and to varying degrees between the classic variety. While this silent and imperceptible contact is largely accepted on Vollista itself, the Nall highly discouraged it in their presence among classic Vollistans, and it is not always accepted by non-psionic species such as humans in the present day.
