The Hit Wizard department requires all members to be highly skilled in everything including Defence Against the Dark Arts. Where Auror's are sent after the dark-wizards, the Hit Wizard department handles primarily with the dark wizarding criminal side of the justice system. All applicants when first entering the program must have a minimum of five OWLs with all of good standing and at least Defence Against the Dark Arts. No underage, nor ones that are of weaker disposition are accepted into the training department. Amongst everything else, the Hit Wizard trainees are taught defensive charms and counter curses and how to restrain a witch or wizard without attracting the attention from the surrounding muggles. Each Hit Wizard is well known to St Mungo's and is guaranteed a bed by the Ministry in the hospital for the injuries that are suspected. Opening salary for a Hit Witch or Wizard is 700 Galleons a month with opportunity for increase depending on prowess and determination through their work. Notoriously known for being volatile, the Hit Wizard department requires members who are both strong willed to be able to finish their capture.
