Rabo Kazenmaru is the current Captain of the Kido Corpse, directly succeeding Tessai Tsukabishi in that position, becoming Captain shortly after Tessai got banished from the Soul Society. As his standing as the Kido Corpse Captain, Rabo is said to be one of the greatest Kido Grandmasters that the Soul Society has ever produced; in fact, he said to be the third greatest Kido Grandmaster that the Soul Society's ever produced, third only to Ichibei Hyosube, the creator of Hado and Bakudo Kido, and Joel Goldsmith, the man who's known as the greatest Kido Grandmaster that the Soul Society's ever produced. Throughout his many years of being an active Shinigami, Rabo has been noted for many achievements; probably his most famous achievement was being the head general for the Jaded War, in which he quickly and easily earned widespread fame throughout the entirety of the Soul Society. He is also well known for being one of the ten Shinigami to possess the power of a Kitsune (lit. Fox). Rabo's Kitsune is the Two Tailed Cat, which was passed down to him by his father, Raba Kazenmaru, at the moment of the latter's death. Although one of the weakest Kitsune powers, he fully mastered it within six months of attaining it, even further amplifying his own power. Currently, due to his power and achievements, plus his sense of justice, Rabo is a candidate for promotion to the Central 46; however, he's also a candidate for pomotion to the Royal Guard, too. He claims he would love both positions, and doesn't know which one to choose, if they both end up wanting him badly enough. After the deaths of both Yachiru Unohanaand Shigekuni Genryusai Yamamoto, Rabo was named the Kamui of Kido, for the twenty seventh, and current, generation of the Kamui.
