The Landing Craft Assault, or LCA, was a landing craft that was used by the Royal Navy during World War II. The LCA was fundamentally a British equivalent of the American LCVP and it was produced in similar quantities. The LCA was powered by two Ford V8 engines that could propel it at speeds of up to eight knots. The LCA also had a beam that measured 10.1 metres and a surface displacement of 15,000 kilograms.
