Around that time, he was assigned a subordinate, Admiral Rufan, who served on his flagship, the Zepplin. Aboard the modified dreadnaught, Gargus carried out research on starfighters and weaponry, where he developed an advanced protype fighter. However, in 3,654 BBY, a Jedi Knight named Saato Antayen led a campaign against Grand Admiral Gargus, during which, a Republic fleet attacked the Zepplin, destroying it and killing him.
