Alan is despondent, lying in his bed, and Berta reluctantly tells him he is a great guy, though she can only cite pathetic examples of how great he is (citing things such as his punctuality and good toilet aim). Walden takes Alan to Pavlov's to cheer him up. He introduces Alan to Nick's ex-wife (Jessica Lundy), who was also spying on Lyndsey and Nick the same night that Alan was. She and Alan have revenge sex, and Alan wakes up the next morning in a cheerful mood.
