Gunfight at the Naval Operations Center in Reston is an incident that occurred at the Naval Operations Center in Reston in February 2016 in which a group of men attacked the Naval Operations Center. The gunfight resulted in the death of Petty Officer First Class Lamar Finn while Finn's fellow Master-At-Arms, Petty Officer First Class Janet Shor was left injured while the raiders stole crates containing a dozen M-16 rifles with lots of ammunition. The raiders did not go unscathed, however, as Janet Shor managed to wound two of the raiders, one of them escaping with the ringleader.

Beimler, one of the shooters was injured during the raid and was later rushed to emergency surgery with Dr. Cyril Taft doing the surgery with Beimler later dying due to complications from an earlier injury to his spine while Oskar Bruenig succumbed to his blood loss at his home.
