| - Born in Coronet City, Zakk was raised by his parents, James and Kalina Bannon, until a few months after the boys eighth birthday. It was then that Zakk witnessed the murder of both his mother and father, while he hid inside a coat closet. After watching his parents die at the hands of the assassin, the little boy charged at the man from his hiding place. The boy was quickly knocked unconscious by his parents killer and left alone next to their bodies. Whether or not Zakk was not apart of the contract or the assassin did not wish to kill a child is unknown. For several years following the event, Zakk bounced around Corellian System in and out of foster homes. His rebellious nature kept landing him in more trouble than the families thought he was worth. Finally, at seventeen years old, Zakk left the foster care system and hitched a ride to the Jedi Temple. It was there that the young man thought his destiny lay. He went there hoping that the teachings of the Force and the Jedi training that came with it would give him what he would need to face his parents killer. Training under Jedi Knight N’yssa Farifax proved tough for the Corellian. Nevertheless, he pushed onwards to become what he felt he was meant to be. The things he learned and the people he met showed him a deeper meaning to life than just worrying about what lay ahead. He learned to trust in people again, to love, to embrace all that was wrong, and the faced with the worst, hope for the best. After five long years Zakk reached the rank of Jedi Knight and was finally allowed to leave the Temple without his master’s accompaniment. Under the watchful eye of the now Jedi Master Farifax, Zakk had never been able to leave the Temple and confront the assassin that killed his parents. Now as a Jedi Knight, he left the Jedi Enclave and journeyed to Nar Shaddaa where he had learned that he would find the man responsible for the misery in Zakk’s life. A few days went by and the Corellian had come up short in his hunt and just was he was about to give up his search, the man appeared. Zakk confronted him, his lightsaber in hand and pointed at the man. This was the Jedi’s first tangle with the darkside within him. He looked into the man’s heart and searched his own feelings before realizing that everything that had led him to this point was not so that he could claim revenge but to help him let go of his pain in the past. The assassin had reformed himself after that fateful night after the child Zakk had charged him from his spot. He had come to terms with what he had done and had even expected that day’s events. And now with Zakk’s blade ready to strike, the Corellian could not bring himself to take his vengeance. He spared the former assassin’s life and returned home to the Temple. With a renewed sense of self, Zakk began to take on students of his own and take up his own fight against the darksiders that threatened the galaxy. In the wake of the events on Nar Shaddaa, he met and fell in love with Ala Quin. Unfortunately the two never got too far in their relationship with each other. Ala vanished just as Zakk gained a small promotion in ranking. With her mysterious disappearance, the Jedi departed from the Jedi Temple once again, spending the next year and a half traveling the galaxy in search of clues to Ala’s whereabouts. He spend most of his time in the Outer Rim Territories, helping those less fortunate fight for their right to survive in the harsh galaxy.Student Training
Zakk has a very relaxed training idea as opposed to many of the other's in the order. The only main focus he has is in swordsmanship. Being a user of Ataru and Jar'Kai, he focuses on improving one's endurance and dexterity than one's physical prowess. So his training sessions usually focus on repetition and pushing one's body to the limits. He goes out on a run everyday and encourages his students to run with him. Force training is also a big focus of the Jedi's as it is needed to successfully use Ataru to the best of it's abilities. His only downside is philosophy, mainly because he is still learning it for himself. He usually tries to avoid giving out his own philosophies on the Jedi Code and such and tries to get his students to seek lessons from other's.
