About: Baby's particles   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

The baby's particles were remnants from the baby's death as depicted in Metroid: Other M. After it explodes above Samus, it becomes a rain of particles that fall over her like snow. The particles serve as a hypothetical explanation for how Samus gains the Hyper Beam, as she catches one in her hand. It is possible that energy from the Laser Brain Attack was stored in the particle and it filled her Arm Cannon with the energy, and this, combined with her empowerment over the baby's death, created the Hyper Beam.

  • The baby's particles were remnants from the baby's death as depicted in Metroid: Other M. After it explodes above Samus, it becomes a rain of particles that fall over her like snow. It is possible that energy from the Laser Brain Attack was stored in the particle and it filled her Arm Cannon with the energy, and this, combined with her empowerment over the baby's death, created the Hyper Beam. Samus speaks the above line after completing the training sequence at the beginning of Other M as she realizes the Metroid fragments are no longer attached to her Power Suit. The ringleaders behind the BOTTLE SHIP conspiracy had their researchers extract the fragments along with a piece of cell structure, and they used it to create all the Metroids on board the BOTTLE SHIP, and later on the Biologic Space Laboratories research station in Metroid Fusion.
