Elix Makar is an ex-soldier currently residing in Varrock. He was a master swordsman and quite possibly the greatest warrior in the history of Gielinor, pioneering several fighting styles and defeating countless foes. After a long career in the military, however, he was betrayed by Yar L’Gherre (who was once Elix’s best friend) who crippled him and left him to die on the banks of the river Lum. Embittered by this, he later learnt that his own commanding officer had ordered a raid on his family’s home, kidnapping and torturing his loved ones on fabricated charges. Elix was driven to the brink of insanity and to this day is paranoid and angry, holding several vendettas.

He was a master swordsman and quite possibly the greatest warrior in the history of Gielinor, pioneering several fighting styles and defeating countless foes. After a long career in the military, however, he was betrayed by Yar L’Gherre (who was once Elix’s best friend) who crippled him and left him to die on the banks of the river Lum. Embittered by this, he later learnt that his own commanding officer had ordered a raid on his family’s home, kidnapping and torturing his loved ones on fabricated charges. Elix was driven to the brink of insanity and to this day is paranoid and angry, holding several vendettas. Standing nearly seven feet tall, he is rough-shaven and with long, dark hair. Elix is unemployed, but does occasional mercenary work for the various crime gangs that rule Varrock. He lives a Spartan lifestyle of strict daily exercise and combat training and generally tries to stay out of people’s way, but is prone to alcoholism and is known for getting into fights. Before his fall from fame, he was the creator of several unique fighting styles, including Sethet, Athenos, and Arys amongst several others. He will appear in the upcoming role play RuneScape - Ragnarok
