Mayaserana was the Queen of Arendia, Duchess of Asturia and wife to King Korodullin. Like her husband, she was a direct-line descendant of the original Mayaserana, heir to the Duchy of Asturia, who was married to the heir of the Duchy of Mimbre after the Battle of Vo Mimbre, from whom she takes her name. As a result of this familial inbreeding, Mayaserana is a pale and somewhat unhealthy woman who had issues with childbearing which Polgara interceded with.

During her husband's absence in the campaign in the East (Enchanter's Endgame), she summoned a deputation of Asturian nobles to address the issue of the ancient and ongoing Civil War. Finding it to be largely a result of a court procedural technicality, she issued a proclamation that began the process of peace.
