  • Ethan Katana was the nephew of Jack Raven who inherited the Angry Rancor cruiseship on his uncle's death. He was a sculptor and artist. He frequently preferred to fly around in a smaller ship that he purchased after his uncle's death, named 'Expatriate'. Katana attended the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV to undergo training in the Force, and was caught up in the Third Jedi Purge. He was the only student of Luke Skywalker to survive. After the Purge, Ethan spent a long time hunting Cort Stasus who had been the student who initiated the purge and attack on Luke Skywalker's Jedi students. Thinking to try looking on Dagobah he flew to the desolate swamp world. He hit magnetic storms while coming through the atmosphere and his ship crash landed, killing a his cyborg dog named Bram. Katana barely survived the fiery crash himself, and using an obscure force power he called 'Warp Matter' had to devise a metallic suit to encase and sustain his body. After spending two years on Dagobah, he returned to the rest of the galaxy a much changed man. His ordeal had caused him to turn toward the Dark Side with an alter ego named Darth Revenant beginning to surface from within. Some time in 14 or 15 ABY, Ethan disappeared again.
