Bloops, as they are named by Slippy Toad, is a species of strange, obscure, gargoyle-like creatures, native to Dinosaur Planet. They are among the most widespread races on the planet, tying with the SharpClaw Tribe and various burrowing menaces, from ThornTail Hollow, to Moon Mountain Pass, the Volcano Force Point Temple and some were even found inside a Krazoa Shrine.

- The bloop was a primate similar to a terrestrial chimpanzee, native to the planet Preplanis from Lost in Space. It had a conical head with thick hairy antennae and was named for the sound it made. Penny Robinson acquired a pet bloop that she named Debbie. ("Island in the Sky") There was also another bloop named Debbie in the unaired pilot episode of the show that Penny befriended. ("No Place to Hide") Due to the change in plot between the two episodes, these are assumed to be different bloops. The animal the Robinsons find in the Lost in Space motion picture is nicknamed the "blarp".

- In the summer of 1997, the NOAA discovered the anomaly with sonar used for dectecting Soviet Navy submarines. It was found in the Pacific Ocean. NOAA's system ruled out its origin as any known man-made sound, such as a submarine or bomb, or familiar geological sounds such as volcanoes or earthquakes. While the audio profile of the bloop does resemble that of a living creature, the system identified it as unknown because it was far too loud for that to have been the case: it was several times louder than the loudest known biological sound. | - Bloop's life was saved by YoshiEgg Nook from The Groo in YoshiEgg Wii. Since then, Bloop has become YoshiEgg's sidekick and best friend for life. Some of his powers are squirting enemies with ink, wrapping them up in his tentacles, and whipping them with his tentacles. In YoshiEgg DSi, Bloop was revealed to be the hero of the sea. He was the one who saved the ocean and Neptune and almost got the Picture Box back from The Groo, but he failed. Still, the Cheep-Cheeps, Bloopers, etc. awarded him with a statue/fountain on Plack Beach. (It was the statue Fawful took over and Bowser fought in BiS.) Years later, a seashell fell on Bloop's head and he lost all memory of the adventure and The Groo found his appetite for Bloopers and tried to eat him, leading up to the events of YoshiEgg Wii. During the events of YoshiEgg Nook & the Obstacle of Death, Bloop keeps on having weird visions. His first vision was full-on what was to happen, as he knew Bus 108 was going to crash, and saw all of it first-person. He stopped Goombert, YoshiEgg and Tulip from going on the bus. This unknowingly caused 3 School Goombas to also get off the bus. After crying for a while, he was hit in the eye with a cork. Bloop then saw a giant rock, which was really just YoshiEgg's table. After pulling the cork out, the cork hit a picture of Goombert in the head.
