A brutal duel between Alexandra Quick and John Manuelito occurred on one of the summits of Witches' Rock in New Mexico in January of 2011. The skirmish was witnessed by a pair of Muggles, John Thompson and Patricia Peshlakai. The duel was initiated when Manuelito ambushed Quick at the summit after Quick, Thompson, and Peshlakai had ascended the Rock to escape a pack of werewolves, and ended with Manuelito murdering one of his own associates and leaping from the Rock to escape from Quick, precipitating the Battle of Witches' Rock.
