  • Pablo, a foreign English student taken with swear words, in BBC Three's television series Being Human. Federico was born in Modena, North of Italy, to parents Mauro and Enrica Zanni, both teachers. Since graduating from ArtsEd with a First, Federico has been working professionally in TV, films and Theatre, and has kept singing under the wing of his teacher, Stephen Dickinson. His first TV role was playing Insp. Sergio Zavattini in “Dream Team” for SkyOne (2004), which was followed, the year after, by the role of Urbano Lazzaro (the Italian partisan who arrested Benito Mussolini) in the History Channel docu-fiction “Ten Days To Victory”, directed by Tim Conrad. In the same year, Federico landed a small part in Richard Curtis’s political Rom-Com “The Girl In The Café’”, directed by David Yates (BBC1); the role of Tranio in BBC’s modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s comedy “The Taming Of The Shrew” and his first professional theatre role, playing Pablo in Anthony Page’s West End revival of “The Night Of The Iguana”, by Tennesse Williams, starring Woody Harrelson.
