Eternity was a colony in the Larger Magellenic Cloud founded during the first human empire. It was one of the first human colonies outside of Mutter's Spiral and was considered a towering achievement at a time when most of the Earth was uninhabitable. For a long period of time, Eternity was the furthest colony from Earth. At one point, there was a permanent population of eight billion humans.
