When I count 3, let's all say "Wake up, Jeff!" and that'll wake him up and he'll jump up and down and do all sorts of silly things. It'll be really, really funny. Dorothy: I sure am. Greg: Why don't you take a little break, Maybe munch on a few roses? Dorothy: Oh, roses! Yummy! I love eating roses. Maybe I'll just have a little nibble. Greg: Alright. See you later, Dorothy. Dorothy: (leaving the stage) Bye. Wiggles and Kids: Bye. Dorothy. Anthony: (to the kids) OK, come in close, everyone, so you can hear me. (The kids come in closer.) OK, can you keep a secret, everyone? Kids: (whispering) Yes. Anthony: Well, today is Dorothy the Dinosaur's birthday. (The kids gasp.) Yeah, and we're gonna give a great big surprise party for her tonight. You're all invited to join in the fun but we must keep it a secret. Dorothy loves a surprise! Dorothy: (off-screen) Mmm, yummy roses! Dorothy: Hey, Wiggles. Wiggles! Anthony: (to kids) Oh, remember, not a word anyone. (closes lips) Zip! Jeff: Zip! Jeff: (unzipping lip) Zip! How was that, Dorothy? Dorothy: Yummy for my tummy. Yummy for my tummy, Jeff. I'm so happy today. Do you know what special day it is? Murray: Oh, Tuesday. Anthony: Wednesday. Dorothy: No, I meant... Wiggles: Christmas day! Jeff: Chinese New Year! Dorothy: No. (Sadly) No. (leaves sadly away while sighing) They've forgotten my birthday. Wiggles: Phew! Anthony: That was close. Thanks, everyone. Poor Dorothy thinks we've forgotten her birthday. She'll get such a surprise tonight! Greg: (holding a magic vase) Talking about surprises, how about I perform a little magic? (removing hankie showing a vase of magic flowers. The other Wiggles and kids applaud.) The Other Wiggles: Hey hey! Dorothy: (putting her roses down) My birthday and no-one cares, not even my best friends the Wiggles. (singing) It's a dinosaur birthday party, But everyone's forgotten me. (Groans and leaves) Greg: (off-screen while Dorothy is talking) Well, if I'm gonna do some more magic, I'll need to get my special things. First of all, I'll need to get out my magic wand, next, I'll need to get the Box of Mystery. Now this is a very special box given to me a long time ago by an old magician friend. I'll just go and get the Box of Mystery and then we can do some more magic everybody. Mrs. Bingle's Class Students: (off-screen) Yay! Greg: (off-screen) Well, here it is, everybody, the Box of Mystery. Yes, the box of mystery. Mrs. Bingle's Class Students: (off-screen) Yay! Wally: Oh, the old 'Box of Mystery' routine! (Scoffs) Greg: If you can take a look inside, it's empty, totally empty. Greg: However, if I get out my magic wand and wave it over the top of the box of mystery just like that and say the magic word, 'Alakazam'...you'll find something inside the Box of Mystery. Wally: Oh. I can do that! (huffs) Greg: Take a look at this. (showing a yellow hankie while the kids gasp) Ooh, followed by a green hankie...and an orange hankie...and they keep coming...and coming...and coming! (Wally turns back to take a sneak peak again.) And now, I think I need my able assistant Dorothy. Dorothy, are you there? Dorothy: (arriving on stage) Yes, Greg. Greg: Now, Dorothy, I need you to take the magic wand for a moment... (giving magic wand to Dorothy) Dorothy: Sure. Greg: ...while I prepare for some more magic. Mrs. Bingle's Class Students: Yay! Wally: That wand has some pretty wonderful magic. It's just the thing I need to help me win that competition and the Great Waldo's wand! Yes! I can see it now. (imagining himself in the magic competition while holding Waldo's wand prize) First, I'll be the toast of the Magic Club. Nobody will ever doubt the power of Wally the Great again. (Magazines about Wally the Great are shown.) And then, I'll be a popular man about town, (A imaginable shot of Wally with rose in his mouth is shown.) one of the city's most attractive young bachelors. I'll be at the best parties. (laughing, then hitting himself on the head after imagining) Dorothy: (arriving back at the buffet table while holding Greg's magic wand) Oh, boy, I hope my day improves. Meaghan: (off-screen) Dorothy. Dorothy: Yes, just a minute. Meaghan: (off-screen) Dorothy. Dorothy: I'm coming. (puts wand down next to a cake and then walks over while greeting Meaghan) Hi! Meaghan: Is it true that you love eating roses? Dorothy: Of course. I love eating roses. Meaghan: (off-screen) Do you like the red ones best? Dorothy: (off-screen) I like red ones and yellow ones and pink ones and blue and orange ones and white ones. Dorothy: (Gasps) The magic wand, It's gone! Wally: (off-screen) I got the wand! Dorothy: (running over to the brick wall) Hey! Stop! Hey! Hey! What, what are, what are you doing?! BRING GREG'S MAGIC WAND BACK! Wally: (running to his tricycle while holding Greg's magic wand back) I got the wand! (laughs) I got the wand! Yes! I made it! I made it! I made it! (laughing while wiping off his face with a paper towel) I can almost taste the success!. (putting on his helmet) Oh, Wally the Great, winner of the annual Magic Club competition, star of stage and screen. (getting on his tricycle) Dorothy: (jumping off the brick wall) Whee! (leaving rapidly) Wally: Ooh...wand so powerful, move this trike, Take it like a rocket, fly like a kite! (Dorothy runs over and rides on the back.) It works! (laughs) (with Dorothy) WHEE! Greg: (holding the hankies) Um...Dorothy's got my magic wand. Oh, I know. I'll say some different magic words and hopefully that will work. Um...gobbley, bobbley, bibbidy boo there were 7 hankies and now there are 2! (nothing happens) Oh, Dorothy. Oh, I know. Um, Whimmy, whammy, shammy, Shoe.... Mrs. Bingle's Class Students: Yay. Greg: Um..oh! Anthony: Greg, perhaps you'd have a bit more luck with a song. Greg: You might be right, Anthony. (throwing the hankies down on stage and starts singing while the music for "Rock-a-Bye Your Bear" starts playing) Everybody clap Everybody sing la la la la la Bow to your partner Then you turn around Hands in the air, rock a bye your bear Bears now asleep Sh sh sh Bears now asleep Sh sh sh Everybody clap Everybody sing la la la la la Bow to your partner Then you turn around (with Anthony Silvestrini) Hands in the air, (himself) rock a bye your bear Bears now asleep Sh sh sh Bears now asleep Sh sh sh Bears now asleep Sh sh sh Bears now asleep Sh sh sh Mrs. Bingle: (giving handshakes) Oh, Wiggles, what a wonderful, wonderful show. (laughs) Even though not all Greg's magic tricks seemed to work. And where's lovely Dorothy? All the children would like to applaud their favourite dinosaur. Anthony: How about a big clap for Dorothy the Dinosaur? (applauding with the others but stops) Greg: Oh...she should be here somewhere. Murray: Dorothy! Dorothy! Meaghan: I know where Dorothy is. I saw her chasing a strange fellow who appeared to be carrying your magic wand. He lost this. (gives the cape to Murray) I took the liberty of retrieving it. It seems to identify the magic wand thief as Wally the Great. Murray: Hmm. Very interesting. Let's have a think about this, Wiggles. (Everybody thinks about something and then they stop) Find Wally... The Non-realisitic Wiggles: Mm-hm. Murray: ...and you'll find Dorothy. Mrs. Bingle: Oh, I do hope Dorothy will be alright. Greg: Oh, don't worry, Mrs. Bingle. (showing to the others Wally's cape to see) I know this Wally the Great. Um, he's a funny fellow, but he means well. Jeff: Maybe Dorothy has already got the wand back and is on her way home. Greg: Oh, perhaps, Jeff, but the wand doesn't really matter. I've got another 67 of them. What's most important is Dorothy's being safe and sound? And remember, it's her birthday. And we've got to get her to the surprise party at the circus tent tonight. Anthony: Come on, Wiggles, we've got a dinosaur to find! (They start to leave but Anthony stops) Oh, Mrs. Bingle, perhaps you and the children could begin to make some preparations for tonight's party. Mrs. Bingle: That would be a pleasure, wouldn't it, children? Mrs. Bingle's Class Students: Yes. Anthony: Maybe you could make some gifts and ah, wrap them, and make a little food, some fruit salad, some hot potatoes, cold spaghetti, mashed banana. Oh, food food, I love food... Meaghan: (clearing her throat) Ahem! By my calculations, Dorothy has been gone for approximately 7.2 minutes. (The Wiggles calculate with their hands.) So if she's traveling at 30 kilometers an hour, the average speed for a dinosaur in a hurry, she's now 4.16 kilometers away. And the gap is widening as we speak! Wiggles: HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! Jeff: I think what she means is, we'd better get cracking if we want to find Dorothy in time for tonight's surprise party! Meaghan: Precisely. Anthony: Come on, Wiggles! Maybe Captain Feathersword or Wags the Dog or Henry the Octopus have seen Dorothy! She always visits them on her birthday. Murray: We better hurry! We don't want them to spoil the surprise about her Birthday Party tonight! Anthony: Come on, Wiggles, it's off to the Big Red Car! Zee ya, Mrs. Bingle. Mrs. Bingle and Class Students: Zee ya. Greg: Zee ya. Jeff: Zee ya. Murray: Zee ya. Anthony: Come on, guys! Greg: Lets get in that big red car. Anthony: Big red car. Here we go! OK, seat belts on. Start the motor! Yeah, let's get going! Wally: Phew! Everyone would think I was carting a gorilla up that hill. Dorothy: I'm a dinosaur! Wally: Dinosaur, gorilla - what's the difference? Dorothy: Ah, about 200 Kilos and a few million years! Greg: (singing) Doo, dooby-doo, dooby-doo Doo, doo, doo, dooby-doo Doo, dooby-doo, dooby-doo Doo, doo, doo, dooby-doo Doo, dooby-doo, scooby-doo-wa. Anthony: Let's all quack together. Wiggles: (singing) Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack a-doodly doo. Anthony: Hey, I got one, guys. (blubbering) How about you, Murray? Murray: (laughing to the song) What's Jeff up to? Jeff: (snoring) Wiggles: (singing) Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack a-doodly doo. Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack a-doodly doo. Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack Cock-a-doodle-doo Quack, quack, quack a-doodly doo. Wally: You're...you're the dinosaur from the school. Dorothy: That's right. Dorothy the Dinosaur, that's me! And you stole Greg's magic wand. You shouldn't steal things! Wally: I-I-I-I wasn't. I was just...borrowing it. Dorothy: Well, it's not yours. You have to give it back to me so I can return it. Please give it to me. Wally: I'm just borrowing it, I promise! I'll return it...after I win the Magic Club Competit...(Dorothy grabs the magic wand from him.) Give it to me! GIVE IT TO ME! Dorothy: (sadly) Oh, no! Wally: (crossly) NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE! IT'S BROKEN! Dorothy: Oh, this has been the most miserable birthday! Wally: What am I going to use to win the competition?!? Dorothy: (crying) I'm 5 dinosaur years old today and no-one has remembered, not even my friends the Wiggles. And now I've gone and broken Greg's magic wand. Wally: (crying) I blew it! Blew it! Dorothy: Now I'm going to have to spend the rest of my birthday getting it fixed! Wally: (standing up from haystack) You can get it fixed? Dorothy: Well...I don't...know Wally: Oh, Please, please, please, please, please, please please, pretty please! Dorothy: Well, maybe Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog or Henry the Octopus could fix it. But even if they can, the wand's not yours! Wally: Yes, but...but I just want to get it fixed.... Dorothy: Greg always says a wand alone can't produce magic. Magicians can only perform tricks if they're really want to entertain people. Wally: Yes, but...but this wand is different. You see, this wand (Dorothy shows half of the wand to him.) is gonna help me win the Magic Club competition. I'll show them all! Please, please! You've got to help me get it fixed. Dorothy: Well... Wally: Help me and I promise, I promise I'll give it back to Greg. Look, Dorothy, it doesn't hurt to see your other friends, can it? Hey, maybe they'll remember your birthday! Dorothy: (excitedly) Oh, yes! I always visit Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus on my birthday! Wally: Come on, then! How about it? They fix the wand, wish you a happy birthday. We're all happy. Dorothy: Well... ..alright. Greg: (to camera) I knew Henry the Octopus lived around here. Is Jeff asleep again? (spotting Jeff falling asleep who is holding a map) Oh no! Jeff is always falling asleep. I guess we'd better wake him up. When I count 3, let's all say, "Wake up, Jeff!" 1, 2, 3...(with Anthony and Murray) WAKE UP, JEFF! Murray: Er...excuse me. Lifesaver! We were wondering if Henry the Octopus was home. Life-Saver: (on the megaphone) You have to swim between the flags at all times! Do not, I repeat, do not swim at the eastern end of the pool! Keep eye contact with your fellow swimmers. Wiggles: HUH, HUH, HUH, HUH?!? Murray: Come on! Greg: (singing) Rocking and a-rolling by the seaside Everybody's having such a good time Everybody come along with me We're gonna take a trip down beneath the sea Everybody's singing, everybody's dancing Murray and Jeff: Everybody's wiggling Anthony: In the rocking and a rolling sea Greg: Underneath the water, we can play Swimming and diving in the octopus way Everybody come along with me We're gonna take a trip down beneath the sea Everybody's singing, everybody's dancing Murray and Jeff: Everybody's wiggling Anthony: In the rocking and a rolling sea Greg: Everybody's singing, everybody's dancing Murray and Jeff: Everybody's wiggling Anthony: In the rocking and a rolling sea Henry: Oh, oh, oh! Some of us have got family we want to feed on. Anthony: (stuttering with fear) Oh, Oh, Don't let us stop you rehearsing. Henry! Anthony: Guys, we still don't know where Dorothy is. Jeff: (to camera) Do you know where Dorothy is? Murray: She may have gone to Captain Feathersword's or Wags the Dog's house. Greg: Don't worry. We'll find our favourite dinosaur. Let's go to Wags' house! The Other Wiggles: Oh, yeah! Wiggles: Whoa! Mrs. Bingle: Hello, Cecil! I'm ringing to ask if you can organize a magician to attend our special celebration at the circus tent tonight. Cecil: (on the telephone) Your wish will be my pleasure, Rosemary. We are having our annual magic competition tonight and the winner can perform at your celebration. Mrs. Bingle: Oh, thank you! That's wonderful! It commences at 6 PM. And you're also invited. Now, you'll have to excuse me. I need to get a wiggle on as I'm preparing the food and decorations with the children. Cecil: Certainly. And I look forward to seeing you tonight. Mrs. Bingle: Bye. (hanging up the telephone while Cecil hangs up the telephone) Wiggles: (off-screen) Where are you going, Wags? Jeff: Where's Wags? Anthony: I don't know, Jeff. Greg: He went woofin'... Wiggles: (pointing) That-a-way! Murray: Wags! Wags! (barking) Wiggles: Oh! Anthony: Come on, Wiggles. Wiggles: To the Big Red Car! Bye-bye Dorothy: This is where my friend Wags lives. (getting off the tricycle) He's pretty good with sticks and things so maybe he can fix the wand. Wally: (taking off his helmet) Great, great, great, great, great! (chuckles) Dorothy: I always visit Wags the Dog on my birthday, too. He's bound to remember. Wally: I'm sure he will! Wally: Give me back it! My wand! My Wand! Dorothy: Give the wand back! Wally! Wally! Wally! What are you doing? Wally: Bring my Wand back here! (to Dorothy and Wags) Leave this to me.
