Vipers made his OWA pay-per-view debut at Effigy, where he teamed with Matt Lyle to take on Sudden Impact. Vipers and Lyle lost via disqualification after Lyle assaulted Johnson, Daniels and finally Vipers with a steel chair. Vipers sought revenge, and got his wish when he faced and defeated Lyle in a match the following Friday. He failed to capture the European Championship from Jamo the following week. He was scheduled to face Amani Rakman at the upcoming Amicable Treason event, but had to pull out due to a serious medical condition. Vipers returned from his time off with a major impact, defeating Rakman for the European Championship in his first match back. As per the rules of the championship, Vipers was booked in his first defense against Kenneth Krane the next week, where he successfully retained. He lost the title to Alex Johnson at Chained.
