- Rookgaard (ook wel 'Rook' genoemd) is het eiland waar spelers hun eerste bezoek brengen, het heeft een beperkt aantal uitrustingen en monsters, zodat spelers een eerste indruk kunnen krijgen van het spel. Ze kunnen hier hun basisvaardigheden en eerste uitrusting verwerven om hen voor te bereiden op het vasteland. Wanneer de nieuwe characters de basis meester zijn en level 8 hebben bereikt, zouden ze een bezoek moeten brengen aan het Orakel. Die kan de spelers naar The Isle of Destiny sturen waar ze kunnen kiezen welke van de vier beroepen ze willen worden. Veel spelers hebben er echter voor gekozen om in Rookgaard te blijven. Zij worden Rookies genoemd.

Rookgaard characters can open the Advertising-Rookgaard Channel to advertise all kinds of things. Among others, you can trade Tibia items, advertise ingame events, seek characters for a quest or a hunting group, find members for your guild or look for somebody to help you with something.

Hierdoor keer je terug naar Rookgaard als level 1 zonder equipment.
