Preferiscono infatti l'ascia alla spada e svolgono il ruolo di stoici guardiani piuttosto che quello di aggressivi guerrieri. Il loro attacco è uno dei più potenti per un nemico ricorrente, infatti è in grado di togliere ben 4 cuori per volta. La loro debolezza sta nella loro lentezza che consente, quando si riprendono dai loro attacchi, di colpirli ripetutamente. Questa strategia è la migliore per evitare di essere colpiti mentre è sconsigliabile attaccare da dietro. Anche in The Adventure of Link ardui da sconfiggere e inoltre sono molto esperti di strategie difensive.

Questa strategia è la migliore per evitare di essere colpiti mentre è sconsigliabile attaccare da dietro. Anche in The Adventure of Link ardui da sconfiggere e inoltre sono molto esperti di strategie difensive. In Ocarina of Time si possono trovare nel Santuario dello Spirito come mini-boss e nel Castello di Ganon. Il Saggio dello Spirito, la Gerudo Nabooru, viene rapita dalle streghe gemelle Duerova che le fanno il lavaggio del cervello. La vestono poi con un'armatura e la fanno combattere contro Link Adulto come un Iron Knuckle. Quando l'eroe la sconfigge lei torna normale. In Majora's Mask si possono trovare nel Cimitero di Ikana e sulla Luna. Sono in tutto e per tutto simili a quelli di Ocarina of Time. In The Adventure of Link si possono trovare in diversi palazzi e c'è anche un Iron Knuckle blu che svolge il ruolo di boss: Rebonak.
