  • 45th pick overall of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft, Veisor reached the NHL in 1973 with Chicago. He was a very agile goaltender, whose tendency to wiggle into odd positions to block difficult shots earned him the nickname "Worm". Veisor failed to establish himself as a starter in Chicago, playing in the shadow of future Hall of Famer Tony Esposito. With Murray Bannerman ready to make it to the big league, the Hawks made room for him by trading Veisor to the Hartford Whalers for their 2nd round pick in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft (who turned out to be Kevin Griffin). In Hartford, Veisor again failed to be the regular starter, playing behind John Garrett and Greg Millen. A trade to the Winnipeg Jets on November 1983 marked the end of his career; Veisor indeed choose to call it a day when the Jets assigned him to their American Hockey League affiliates.
