Darlak informed his allies of his plan to attack Sluis Van, one of the Confederacies main shipyards and capture the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Annihilator. However, unknown to those present at the meeting, they had been overheard by Dark Acolytes Asajj Ventress and Sabyrne Fen, who then planned to assassinate Darlak. The two acolytes followed Darlak as hge left the meeting but were intercepted by Arula and they fought her and she brought enough time for Darlak and his allies to escape before she joined them. Ventress and Fen then joined Dooku on Kaon and informed him of Darlak's plan but Darlak had acted quickly and attacked Sluis Van, capturing the Annihilator.
