Although thought to be God in some Scouser slums, he is in fact equal to Frank Lampard (Professional Pie-Eater), which amuses a lot of the rich and energetic dole-collecting Scousers.

Gerrard has counter-acted these claims, saying "That, like, was back when, like, I had no idea, like, there were, like, rivalries, like, la." He then followed this statement later by saying "I was, like, forced to take the picture, like, because my uncle, like, was an Everton fan, like, la". He then proceeded to punch a DJ in the face. Gerrard made his first appearance in 1998, groomed as the successor to the mighty Jamie Redknapp. He has so far been the mainstay of the Liverpool team, becoming club captain, England captain (when John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Gareth Barry, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young, Stewart Downing, Theo Walcott, Francis Jeffers, and that bloke who nicked Jermaine Defoe's goal in his only appearance are otherwise incapacitated). He has since become a role model for young kids everywhere, and encourages the art of diving, which he has used on innumerable occasions to save Liverpool from otherwise mid-table obscurity. Since Liverpool have now fallen into mid-table obscurity, he now uses this practice to save them from relegation, and has earned the endearing nickname "Stevie Starfish Gerrard", for the delightful way he convinces referees of the malice of a challenge several feet away from him.

Gerrard is well known for his love of the cheeky mousers, what is less known is that in the Gerrard household Liverpool is spelt G_E_R_R_A_R_D. This is a fact which is usually missed by most fans of the club although not by those hardcore who set light to their 'Stevie Me' shirts when he was on the verge of joining a team where he had a fighting chance of winning the title. Stevie Me changed his mind at the last minute, must have been his love for the shirt, or maybe the many more shirts that the new contract afforded him. Those that burnt his shirt quickly bought new ones and convinced themselves it had never happened. Stevie Me was, once again, a die hard Liverpool boy who would never turn his back on the club.......until next time.

Gerrard, who has spent his entire career at Anfield, made his debut in 1998 and cemented his place in the first team in 2000, succeeding Sami Hyypiä as team captain in 2003. His honours include two FA Cups, three League Cups, two Community Shields, one Champions League, one UEFA Cup, and two Super Cups. Gerrard made his international debut for the England national football team in 2000, and has since represented the country at the 2000, 2004 and 2012 UEFA European Football Championships, as well as the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups – captaining the team at the latter two tournaments. He was named as the permanent England captain shortly before UEFA Euro 2012, where he was named in the UEFA Team of the Tournament. Gerrard became the sixth player to win 100 caps for England in 2012, and is currently third in the country's all time appearance list. He ended his international career in July 2014, having won 114 caps.
