After a cloverleaf interchange providing access to the National Harbor seaport area, the route turns northwest, through a wooded area, serving residential areas. As the route turns to the north, it passes through several unincorporated communities, such as Dalvikston, Fort Cameron, and Landover. When the route passes through Landover, it meets the Koiwai Beltway, and continues onto northbound National Route 404, through the Sunshine Gat
