Gancheeks are huntable creatures that live in desert levels in both Patapon and Patapon 2, but only appear when it's raining in the desert. A Gancheek may look like a Kacheek with a spiral, but when it are hit with a weapon, it transforms into a snail. They are completely harmless, but crawl at an incredibly slow pace. They can be a big problem while crossing the desert as they prevent the advance of the Patapons. Without strong weapons or units, it can take a very long time to beat them. Although they resemble snails, they emit a bird-like cry when killed. They commonly drop seeds upon death.
