Stone chests are alternative storage containers. They function in virtually the same way, but require a pickaxe of any level to mine and cannot be mined with bare hands. They also cannot form large chests, however, any number can be placed next to each other because of this, making them useful for obtaining maximum storage in a given area, with a slight sacrifice in regards to convenience.

  • The Stone Chest is a 1-block-sized storage chest with 20 slots that can be crafted by players, but only after the crafting-recipe has been unlocked by crafting/taking a Wood Chest (which is unlocked by crafting a Processor). To craft one Stone Chest, you'll need (as of R28 in February 2016): Arctek Chests are larger storage chests (also only 1 block in size) with 24 slots; the crafting-recipe for the basic Arctek Chest will be automatically be unlocked upon obtaining Arcstones for the first time (from any kind of Keepa or as a very rare finding in Wood Treasure Chests).

  • The Stone Chest is a 1-block-sized storage chest with 20 slots that can be crafted by players, but only after the crafting-recipe has been unlocked by crafting/taking a Wood Chest (which is unlocked by crafting a Processor). To craft one Stone Chest, you'll need (as of R28 in February 2016): * 2 Wood Slabs made of any kind of Wood or Logs in a Processor * 1x Melted Wax made of Beeswax in a Forge or looted from Wood Treasure Chests or Stone Treasure Chests * 4 Stone Slabs made of Stone, Limestone or Bedrock in a Processor * 1 Stone Rod made of Stone, Limestone or Bedrock in a Processor or found in Stone Treasure Chests Arctek Chests are larger storage chests (also only 1 block in size) with 24 slots; the crafting-recipe for the basic Arctek Chest will be automatically be unlocked upon obtaining Arcstones for the first time (from any kind of Keepa or as a very rare finding in Wood Treasure Chests). Stone Chests are different from the randomly spawning Treasure Chests and cannot be found on any Creativerse gameworlds currently (as of R28 in February 2016), but can only be crafted by players themselves. You can rotate Stone Chests, however only as long as they are empty with no stuff inside (their slots). To use Stone Chests, you will have to place them into the game-world and then activate them by right-click or typing "f" (as the default key) when looking at them. These chests do not need any free space above to be opened. You can put whole stacks of stackable materials/blocks/items into these chests from your inventory or quick-bar by right-clicking or dragging & dropping with your left mouse-button. If you hold a stack of stuff with your mouse-button (left click), you can drag it over the chest and then right-click to drop only one piece of the stack (also repeatedly). You can also hold left shift + left click, then drag to move half a stack, or hold left shift + right click to move five items, or hold left ctrl + right click to move one item. You can use the same kind of procedures to take stuff / stacks from chests. You can name Stone Chests individually (these names will be shown when you look at them instead of "Stone Chest") by activating/opening the chest and then clicking on the icon that looks like a square (note) with a pen to the right of the word "Stone Chest". You can type up to 30 characters into this array. Even though while writing into this field all letters look like capital letters, lower case letters will be displayed just like you wrote them after confirming your entry with "enter"/"return". You can also change a few settings for each chest by clicking on the padlock-icon shown in the top right corner after activating/opening the chest. Here you can set individual authorizations to control who can get access to this chest (and its contents). Available permission-settings currently (June 2016) are: "just me", "world owner/admins", "world mods", "builders" or "everyone". On Claims the available settings are "just me", "claim admins", "claim interact only", "claim builders" and "everyone". These chests cannot be picked up as long as anything is stored inside. After emptying them, you can pull Stone Chests without needing to equip any Power Cells (since R32 in June 2016). Different from spawning Treasure Chests, you can actually receive and keep Stone Chests, as they are furniture and "real" storage containers.
