The Throw Monkey is a 5A yo-yo by Duncan, first released in 2005 as part of the Hardcore series. It was designed to be used for both counterweight and offstring play, although many players had also used it for string play. It features a ball bearing axle, take-apart design, Friction Sticker response (2010 version features Silicone Stickers), adjustable gap (not included in the 2010 re-release) and over-molded rubber rims. It also comes included with a bouncy ball-type counterweight called a Monkey Weight.
