A joke program is a non-malicious but annoying program which is not intended to monetize the user.
Joke Programs are non-viral, non-spreading, mostly harmless programs that do not really cause any damage to computers. The main purpose of Joke Programs is to annoy or entertain the user. Since they are detected by antivirus programs because they may interrefer with the normal work of a computer, they tend to cause more panic rather than damage to the computer. None are self-replicating, although they could be conceivably be infected with other malware. Only a few are damaging, such as WinFastener and Lose/Lose.
