European Telecommunications Satellite Organization IGO (EUTELSAT) is an intergovernmental organization comprising 49 Member States. It was created in 1977 by 17 European countries, members of the Conference of European Posts and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), to operate a European telecommunications satellite system. It adapts to regulatory, technological and commercial developments within the Fixed Satellite Services sector.
