- Hyarrostar (Quenya: Südostteil) lag am südöstlichen der fünf Arme des Tarmasundar von Númenor Dieses Land war das am stärksten bewaldete Gebiet der Insel, und unter den zahlreichen Bäumen wuchs auch der Laurinquë mit seinen schönen gelben, lang herabhängenden Blüten, die das Menschenherz erfreuten, denn sonst hatte er keinen Nutzen. Viele der Wälder waren von Schiffsbauern gepflanzt worden, um das nötige Bauholz zu liefern. Zwar war Hyarrostar besiedelt, doch gab es dort keine größeren Städte.

Jego nazwa wzięła się z historii przekazywanych Númenorejczykom przez Eldarów - a dokładnie historii Dwóch Drzew Valinoru, Złotego Laurelina. Za czasów Tar-Aldariona rozpoczęto w Hyarrostarze wielkie zalesianie terenu, aby uzyskać drewno do budowy statków.
