Biography
| - Jimmy Ingram is a former NASCAR driver from Cheraw, SC. He lived in Jacksonville and Mexico City Beach, FL, and Trenton, NJ for brief periods during his early racing career. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career.
He debuted in 1951, at age 23, racing at Columbia. Starting positions in the thirty-four car field are unknown, but Ingram was still able to drive to a respectable 19th place effort in the race.
He was unable to improve in his other event, making the prestigious Southern 500 at Darlington in 1952. Starting 52nd in the massive field, Ingram fell out early and finished a disappointing 57th.
Ingram returned to racing in 1980, at age 52, finishing 15th in the Mason-Dixon 500 at Dover, Delaware. Please see the entry under "Jim Ingram" for more information.External Links
