| - Lavos (ラヴォス Ravosu) is Chrono Trigger's main antagonist and final boss, an alien parasite which crash landed in the year 65,000,000 B.C. It was named "Lavos" by Ayla, a word she made up from the root words "La" meaning "fire" and "Vos" meaning "big" in the Iokan language. Lavos' true name (if it even had one) is unknown.
- Lavos was the main villan of Chrono Trigger, and has so far only been mentioned a few times in the comic, with its only actual appearance being in a short explanation Alex gave about the Muramasa and how it was related to the current situation at hand.
- Lavos is, of course, much more famous in Andoras for the Lavosi Gang Wars, a small but regionally massive conflict which enveloped the entire region in chaos for several years.
- Lavos and Lavospawn are bio-organic creatures which are dropped onto planets from an unknown home source, only to enter hibernation for many millions of years before finally draining the planet of all its energy. After destroying the planet's surface, it will spawn a multitude of clones (the Lavospawn) and prepare them to infect other worlds. If awakened prematurely, it will often defend itself against its intruders and has the power to transport them through time or simply eradicate them in an instant. It seems to prefer the scattering, presumably to let it's assailants live on knowing they have failed spectacularly.
- Lavos is the main and final enemy in Chrono Trigger. The creature crash-lands in 65,000,000 B.C. Over millennia, Lavos is burrowed deep within the planet's core, slowly draining it's energy. Lavos' energy also has an effect on the surface, being responsible for the existence of magic and the Time Gates. The monstrous creature emerges in 1999 A.D. and destroys almost everything that's left on the planet.
- Lavos is one of the main villains in the Super Nintendo hit RPG Chrono Trigger. In the Spring 2005 Contest, Lavos scored a victory over Mother Brain, and then went on to prove that Liquid Snake wasn't as powerful as many claimed him out to be.

- Lavos crashed down on the planet in the year 65,000,000 BC, landing on Tyran Castle and burying itself deep underground. It fed on the planet's life force, forcing an ice age. In 12,000 BC, the kingdom of Zeal tapped into Lavos's power with the Mammon Machine. When Crono and his allies attacked the Machine in the Undersea Palace, Lavos awoke. It rained destruction on Zeal, and the floating islands fell to the ground. Crono sacrificed his life so his friends could escape Lavos's destruction.
- Lavos has three different forms. The first form is the outer shell, which resembles the Peluda, a mythical beast in French mythology. The second form consists of a large humanoid form with two arms. The third and final form is Lavos Core, consisting of three parts: a humanoid center, and two floating 'bits'. Apparently, the absolute core of Lavos is one of these bits, since it can revive its other parts and destroying it defeats Lavos.
