  • Fur is an item which can be obtained by either killing bears, or killing Barbarians. It is bought and sold by the fur trader in East Ardougne, and can be stolen from his stall. It can also be sold to Baraek in Varrock. In south-east Varrock, the Fancy Clothes Store also trades in furs. Despite having the appearance of an item which might be used in Crafting, fur has no apparent use besides being sold or alchemized.

When she was a child, Guinan had an imaginary one as a pet. In her mind it had dark brown fur, gold eyes, and enormous wings that let it fly so fast no one but her could see it. (TNG: "Imaginary Friend" ) Tribbles were small, round, furry, non-intelligent lifeforms originating from Iota Geminorum IV. (ENT: "The Breach") The sehlat was a giant fur-covered "teddy bear"-like beast native to Vulcan. (ENT: "The Forge")
