| - Bobby Zamora is a forward who joined Rovers as a youth player from West Ham United. In 1999 he was promoted to the first team squad at Rovers, and made four league appearances, all from the bench, during the 1999-00 season, as well as one game in the FA Cup and one in the League Cup. He didn't score any goals for Rovers. After leaving the club he went on to play in the Premier League and played for the England Under-21 side, as well as winning two full international caps for England in 2010 and 2011.
- Robert Lester "Bobby" Zamora (born 16 January 1981) is an English footballer who plays for Queens Park Rangers. Zamora began his career at Football League club Bristol Rovers, but was soon signed by Brighton & Hove Albion, where he found first team success. Zamora scored 77 goals in three seasons and helped the club achieve two successive promotions.
- After initially being told that he wouldn’t make the grade as a professional footballer at West Hams youth team, he was released on the same day as fellow Fulham [[players|[player]], Paul Konchesky (with whom he’d also played in the same amateur side with), as well as Fitz Hall and Jlloyd Samuel. Bobby then joined Bristol Rovers as a trainee. After just four appearances, and a loan move to Bath City, he joined Brighton and Hove initially on loan. The temporary move was made permanent in 2000 for £100,000. Playing 125 games for the seagulls and scoring 70 goals, Bobby helped the club (under the manager Mickey Adams to two successive promotions.
