(HH9) However, in February 1922 PD, the Blackbird Yard was completely destroyed by the Mesan Alignment Navy's Operation Oyster Bay. Almost its entire workforce was killed, as was High Admiral Wesley Matthews, who was at a routine conference aboard the station. (HH12) The destroyer GNS Manasseh was one of the first vessels on the scene after the attack, and provided first response services as well as helped recover the bodies of the victims. (HHA6.5: OS)
