These enemies attack by constantly spewing three Thunder sparks in very rapid succession. They deal somewhat low damage, but given the sheer tankiness of this enemy and the rapidness of their attacks, any melee character that draws in close to battle them will mostly likely fail the war of attrition between them and the enemy, unless they have severe defense boosting items and LP. They are similar to the rare yellow fish from the original Cavern trilogy in that they only appear if there is sufficient water, and they are yellow and possess a Thunder-type attack. Unlike those enemies, they do not resist every element (only Freeze's duration), they attack in a much different way, and are of a higher level. They also drop 5000 gold as opposed to 777.
