Vula Karto was a Human male who served the Jedi Order prior to the rise of the Galactic Empire and, after the Clone Wars, went into hiding before joining the Alliance to Restore the Republic. After the creation of the New Republic. Karto assisted Luke Skywalker in creating the New Jedi Order and discovered the Sith assasssin-turned-bounty hunter Norvan Cheval. Karto took Cheval as his apprentice, as well as taking Vetta Milan, who would one day become Norvan Cheval's wife and the mother of his children. Karto was killed at the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War, and was remembered fondly by many within the Order.
