Keiji Nishitani(西谷 啓治Nishitani Keiji, 1900, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan - 1990) was a Japanese philosopher of the Kyoto School and a disciple of Nishida Kitaro. In 1924 Nishitani put forward his dissertation Das Ideale und das Reale bei Schelling und Bergson and studied under Martin Heidegger in Freiburg during 1937-9.
