- The Art of War was a military text written by Sun Tzu several thousand years before the time of Napoleon. In the text, Sun identified the element of surprise as an invaluable weapon in the warrior's arsenal. Jack Bauer drew inspiration from this passage while working to rescue hostages from the Greater Nation militia. (Veto Power) Jason Pillar assumed Charles Logan was quoting The Art of War when he said his recent speech in Columbia was "readiness to seize an opportunity." ("Day 8: 8:00am-9:00am")
- In "A Hero Sits Next Door", after being disappointed that The Prince taught him nothing new, Stewie picked up The Art of War to read, but Lois caught him and took it away for obvious reasons, turning on the Teletubbies instead.

- The book was first translated into the French language in 1772 by French Jesuit Jean Joseph Marie Amiot and a partial translation into English was attempted by British officer Everard Ferguson Calthrop in 1905. The first annotated English language translation was completed and published by Lionel Giles in 1910. Leaders as diverse as Mao Zedong, General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Douglas MacArthur and leaders of Imperial Japan have drawn inspiration from the work.
- The Art of War is now practised and recognised, in modern times, all over the World, such as in the Middle East where it is proliferated enthusiastically. It specialises in rendering people unable to eat and then charging lots of cash for false teeth replacements. The Royal Society of Dentistry itself enforces the practice across Britain and helps develop the skills required for dentistry at an early age in the playground through the bullies of the school.

The Art of War offers a number of maxims for the strategic and tactical conduct of military campaigns, which were widely influential for thousands of years after Sun Tzu's death. - The archetypal Big Book of War, The Art of War (孫子兵法, Sūn Zǐ Bīng Fǎ) is a short Chinese text on warfare, written by Sun Tzu, believed to have been a general in the Wu army during the Spring and Autumn Period (722–481 BC). In it, Sun described how best to command troops, and how to go about attaining victory in any condition. It is available online in several places; here is a copy with accompanying discussions. This is the 1910 translation in plaintext, and here it is in a pretty PDF.
- My contribution, because I should be doing an English project but I'm not. The Art of War, or crashing lots of 1's and 0's into other 1's and 0's and hoping that the other person loses more 1's and 0's than you, is fairly complicated- there are waaaaay too many situations and tactics to count. Lemme start out with some of the basics- 1. ANY FLEET CAN BE PICKED APART FOR PROFIT. Assuming, of course, that there are no Command Centers (referred to as CCs from now on). A discussion of CCs and fleets will be added later, when I'm not so lazy. 4. Don't be afraid to build frigates. -Qbert, [WP]/[PS]
- The Neo Zeed tower in Tokyo is an impenetrable one, immensely tall and protected by armed guards. Joe Musashi, heavily disguised, seeks a way in. Even if he stole an entry card, he would need the PIN to get in. Remembering the words of Sun Tzu that you should bring an enemy to battle on your terms, Musashi decides he must return to his old ways. Joe remembers his old sensei, who watched as he perfected archery. Musashi was troubled by an enemy's ability to use a gun to counter his martial art skills; his sensei reminds him that enemies won't follow the ways of bushido and must sneak up on an armed enemy. Musashi learned the hard way, discovering that his mentor was poisoned by the Neo Zeed. Now they've kidnapped Naoko and Joe must save her, somewhere in the tower. Unveiling a flying contra
