- The T-Wing Interceptor was a series of starfighters developed to replace the aging RZ-1 A-Wing interceptor. It was originally developed, however, to replace the T65 X-Wing starfighter as a supplement to the 1-Wing Starfighter, as a light starfighter. It was beaten to that contract by the I-Wing Starfighter, however, weapons and more poweful engines were added to it. It was introduced in 50 ABY. The New Republic Army and Marine Corps (NRAMC) were delighted by the starfighter and ordered thousands of it to replace the obsolete A-Wing. It was known to have been part of Delta Squadron.
- The T-wing Interceptor was originally designed to replace the A-wing. Unfortunately for the Rebellion, the end result turned out to be a poor replacement for the craft. Like the A-wing, the T-wing is a light fast-response starfighter. The ship's speed is similar to a TIE Interceptor, but it also features hyperdrive capability. With shield and hull strength similar to that of the Z-95 Headhunter, this craft will not last long if hit accurately by even a medium-power salvo.

Maneuverability is another disappointment to its designers, as it is less maneuverable than the A-wing. As per the A-wing, weapons are light, with only dual laser cannons being fitted in order to maintain maneuverability. However, the T-wing's warhead load is equal to that of an X-wing, making it a good multi-role fighter in the hands of a good pilot. Despite its failure for the Rebellion, the T-wing has gone on to see considerable success in the hands of pirates and various smaller organizations. The Loris Empire has even developed its own variation, known as the T-wing Mark II "Silvercat".
