Kurt Haldweim (1918-2010) was the third Führer of the Greater German Reich. He served in that position for longer than anyone except for Adolf Hitler himself. Haldweim died at the age of 91 after a series of illnesses and recuperations. He was an autocratic ruler, but nowhere to the extent of his predecessors, Hitler and Heinrich Himmler. Haldweim was born in Austria before it united with Germany, and served in World War II.
