A crash cart is a set of emergency equipment in a wheeled cart or cabinet that can easily be moved throughout the hospital for life threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest. They contain both physical equipment (such as defibrillators, endoscopes and monitors) and pharmaceuticals (such as epinephrine, atropine, vasopressin, dextrose, diazepam, and nitroglycerine).
