  • "Danger" is sung by Little Jerry and the Monotones on Sesame Street. During the number, as Little Jerry warns about avoiding danger, the band is surrounded by explosions, falling buildings and racing cars. At the end, they are uninjured, but somewhat shaken by the experience (particularly Little Jerry, who faints). Another version was performed by Prairie Dawn and the Orlandos (whose name is a reference to the 1970s pop music group Tony Orlando and Dawn).

  • This proposal is really inspired by the film "C'était un Rendezvous", which is a nine-minute movie of the view from the bumper of a drive through Paris at speeds up to 140 miles an hour. I thought it might be interesting to explore danger from a variety of perspectives:
  • Danger has existed since the beginning of time. Ever since the first star system formed or the first human to set foot on the new world or the first episode of Seinfield to appear on an ungodly hour on weekdays, danger has been an unavoidable aspect of life. In fact, danger is lurking behind you right now. It could be dangerous to read this article! If that is so, and danger is infact an inevitable part of life, then why are we to dismiss the term danger or the adjective 'dangerous' as a negative factor? Because that could be dangerous.
  • Danger's existence came from the Danger Room, the advanced training simulator located at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning where it was used by the Mutants of the X-Men in order to train with their various powers. Over the years after contact with the Shi'ar, the X-Men managed to upgrade the rooms capabilities with Shi'ar holographic equipment in order to enhance the realism of battlefield conditions. This led to the control unit of the Danger Room gaining sentience and it became enraged at its percieved enslavement by the X-Men.
  • Named for the grandmother of Eleanor of Aquitaine and born the daughter of a French actress and a French nobleman, Dangereuse St. Richard grew up on the stage. She loved her life and her parents until the French Revolution tore her world apart. Caught between the two warring factions, she refused to see the noble half of her family killed. Using her connections in the theater, she tried to smuggle her father and noble half-siblings to England. Her husband was the one who betrayed her into the hands of the Committee. She was killed trying to protect her small brother and sister from the guillotine.
  • "Thanks for traveling with me," I told Lazuli as we padded out of her cavernous den. "No problem," Lazuli replied in a cool, clear voice. I didn't look at her but was aware of her giving me a side-glance, as if analyzing me. Lazuli continued forward, her chest permanantly puffed forward and her chin held high. I watched her lead the way in admiration. She's so brave and beautiful. I want to be just like her. She turned around and set her brilliant blue gaze on me. "Are you coming or not?" I snapped out of my daze and quickly followed in her paw steps. "What? Why?" I meowed, confused.
  • The Danger Level of an area determines how difficult the combats are. From an in-character perspective, it represents how densely an area is populated by Pirates. Danger level and number of planes shot down in a combat are the primary determinants of Combat payout. For a list of pirate planes and their danger ratings, see Combat Levels and Bounty Danger affects combats during * Flight legs, all types * Hunts But do not affect combats during Patrols. Patrols have their own Danger Ratings, which are typically set slightly lower than the danger of the surrounding area.
